Hello Baby!

Hi everyone! It's Tara sharing how I'm using the "Oh, Sweet Baby" Add-on kit from this month to start a few layouts. We are expecting our third child in January and this kit was perfect for starting a baby album! I paired the Add-on kit with the lovely Seven Clara album available in the shop.

I decided to cut down the last row of 2x2 boxes to have a more narrow title page. I also love having the next page have a peek-a-boo effect with different sized protectors.

Most of the items I used came from the add-on kit, plus some Crate Paper Wonder ephemera from the shop (sold out now), and a wood chip from our Happy Lane Nov PL kit (also sold out).
I added a little bit of the gold washi tape from the "Happy Lane" PL kit on the ephemera. It added just a little extra without going over the top.

I love adding the little bits and pieces to make this layout come together.

My next layout shares our dating ultrasound - I wasn't as far along as I thought but we were excited to welcome another addition to our family!
I really love all the stamps that come in the kits and use them often! The roller stamp in "Oh, Sweet Baby" is one of my new favorites too!

Here it is closer for you to see the details.
I am in love with all the bright colors that were included in both the PL and Add-on kits. They compliment each other very well!

It's so easy to customize ephemera or PL cards by adding some stamps, extra bits of patterned paper, or the included cut outs from the kit. The possibilities are endless!

I wanted to add more journaling but make the layout interactive as well as keep it well hidden for only us to share together. Using a tag from my stash helped me create it, along with some washi also in my stash.
Here is the hidden journaling written on the backside of the tag.

And one more shot of our baby's profile - just as perfect as can be!

Please share your creations that you have made with our November kits! I'll slowly be adding more to share as I build up this album a little at a time.

Thank you for stopping by and keep on creating!
Xxo, Tara

Sunday Sketch with Evelyn Pratiwi Yusuf

Finally after long time I can share my layout here in Sunday Sketch. How is your Thanksgiving everyone? I hope all ofyou enjoy your Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving from me and my family! Ok to help you find your creative mojo, this is the sketch for your Sunday!

This is how I make the sketch into the real one. I do copy paste the sketch but with lil bit different details this time! I use big photo, I print it out 6x8 inch and do some layering around the photo.Instead of put my tittle in the top, I choose to paste the thickers in the bottom area close to the photo! I love this sketch so so much! Using big photo can help you to do fast scrap but still have some layers and some cuty embellishment in the page.

Autumn Pocket Pages with inspiration video!

umilacze_czasu_Project_Life

Hello! It's Kasia here today and I would like to share with you pages made for my Pocket Life album with November Citrus Twist Kits!

We recently moved from Turkey to Poland and trying to adjust our life and schedules to new reality. I loved spending time outside as long as the weather was pretty but now it's getting dark early and the days are shorter- it's great opportunity to catch up with my album before the end of the year!

I usually scrap in the evenings, after I finish working. I set some candles, pour a cup of hot tea and move to my happy place full of scrapbooking goodies! It's the best way for me to relax, switch off and unplug for a while from the online world!

In today's post you can watch a simple video- have a look at my set-up and scrapbooking process while I'm creating the pages for my album!

Also here are some close ups of the finished pages featuring the gorgeous bits and pieces from all of November CTK kits- they are so cute and perfect to add little touches to any paper projects!

I'm looking forward to winter evenings and please keep fingers crossed that by the end of the year my 2015 album will be all done! There is still some catching up but with gorgeous products and hot tea in my mug I feel like I can do anything!

Sunday Sketch with Emma

Hi everyone!  It's Emma here to share this week's Sunday Sketch challenge.

I love this week's sketch, mostly because it's using circles!  I'm a big fan of using different shapes for photo's - something a little out of the ordinary than the standard square/rectangle shaped photo's that appear on most of my layouts! ;)

First up, here's the sketch:

And here's my take!  I tried to stay close to the sketch; just changed the sizes of circles slightly and switched the title around to fit my smaller page :)  I substituted a few glitter stars for the circles too, mostly because of my page size (6x8); ended up getting a little cozy with so many big shapes on the page.

Everything on this layout is from our November kits (little from Main, Pocket Life, Sprinkles and Paper #2).   I absolutely love how the kits all work together :)

Now it's your turn to take on this week's sketch!

We love to see what you do with our kits and sketches so please make sure to upload your projects to the Citrus Twist Gallery. And remember, by uploading your take on today's sketch to the gallery you will be entered to win a $5 Coupon to use on anything in the CTK Store! Remember to add "Sketch 11/22" to the title line :)

Thanks, Em xo

3 to Inspire with Trina

You can find this challenge here every Saturday for those who need that little extra creative push to get scrapbooking, keep scrapbooking or for those who just like a challenge! Your take on this challenge can be a layout or a pocket page spread and remember that you'll want to include all 3 prompts on your project.

Your prompts this week are:

1. Divide your layout into thirds.
2. Use circles in an embellishment cluster.
3. Use different-colored paints on your page.

I started my layout by splattering 3 different colors of ink on my white base page. This was completely random at the top and bottom of the page. (I knew the center one third of my page would be covered up  with patterned paper.) Next I typed my journaling to work within the negative space around the paint splatters:

When you use vellum as a layer it has a tendency to curl a little. I went with this and also softly curled up the edges of my photo layer with my fingers. (Layers made from vellum, tissue paper, pattern paper and a the photo):

I am loving this Thicker alphabet! I chose letters in the softer colors so the title wouldn't contrast as much:

Circles are layered up and scattered around the page. I used a pop dot to raise the "fave" wood chip above the cork embellishment. I also cut circles out of the frayed fabric strip that comes in the November Main kit and stitched them down on my page in a couple spots:

Now it's your turn! Use the three prompts to create your own projects and share them with us in the CTK Gallery and/or on our Facebook Fan Page by Saturday, November 28th, for a chance to win. (We do a happy mail giveaway for our 3-to-Inspire challenge. Who doesn't love happy mail?!) You can also upload to Instagram and tag us @citrustwistkits. Have fun!
