Friday Pocket Life Sketch

Hello Karen here to share with you some sketches to try on the weekend. Do you get creative on the weekend? I know I do, most likely because the days seem longer!

Now, here are the sketches based off of these pocket pages I created. I used an app called Bamboo for this sketch, so mind the basic-ness of it, it really is a SKETCH. They are 6x8 in size, but you can of course create any size. The second page is using a full scrap layout. I love inserting full page scrapbook layouts in my pocket pages.

Make sure you share your pocket pages with us in the Citrus Twist Gallery or onto our Facebook page!
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

Mixed PL spread: layout and some pockets

Hello!
Mira here and today I will be sharing PL spread where I combined regular 12x12 layout with a pocket page. Take a look:

When I became a Pocket Scrapbooking lover I stopped creating regular 12x12 layouts and I really don't have an excuse for that! I thought it would be nice to have layouts and pockets side-by-side in my album so I decided to go for it!

All about my daughter Ola and her worm-toys...

I wanted this LO to be the most important part of my spread, so I changed the size of 12x12 pocket page protector into 8x12, filled it with pictures and only a few embellishments. Added a little note with the whole story, and this was it!

I used: July PL and "Instalove" Embellishment Kit with beautiful "Moment" stamp from Citrus Twist Kits "Sunshine Adventure" stamp set designed by Jessy.

Hope You enjoyed my inspiration!
Guys... Don't forget to add regular layouts to Your PL albums!

Have a great day!

Tuesday Tutorial: Monthly Poster Planner

_DSC6847

Hi guys! It's Kasia here with a new tutorial for you today. We are so close to the end of July that I though it would be fun to share with you how I made a poster planner for August and decorated it using bits and pieces from my July Citrus Twist Kits! Let's start!

_DSC6834

First- gather your materials. You will need a clean and simple planner (if you like my poster design download it here), and embellishments- I love using enamel dots, various stickers and washi tapes and those are the things which I pulled out of my July kits! Other than that get your pens, scissors, ruler and higlighters ready for some creative fun!

_DSC6845

You can warm up with decorating the planner template to your liking- I like to add some small, cute embellishments around the main calendar part. I use the little yellow arrow to point the week we are on at the moment. You can add as many or as little things as you wish- just have fun with it! You can add doodles, stamps, stickers or pieces of patterned paper- whatever you fancy :)

_DSC6837

I use enamel dots to highlight the events in the month which are related to my work- they immediately grab my attention anytime I look at the planner. I use stickers to mark the birthdays of my friends and family- I love playing with the banner shapes here!

_DSC6843

For the longer events like holidays, trips, exam times or special celebrations I like to run a line with my highlighter across the days- that way with one glance I can see how much of my time will be occupied during the month.

_DSC6839

The best way of course is to play and experiment with system of signs the most suitable for you! I love to use the pretty bits and pieces which come with my kits on the planner- remember the art and craft supplies are to be used, not hoarded :) I feel really happy looking at my planner every morning- all these cute clouds, stars and dots make me smile!

Have fun with your planners and decorate them the way you love most- they can be a great visual reminder to stay productive and motivated during the upcoming month!
Make sure to share your projects with us on Instagram using #citrustwistkits :)

I CAPTURE: HOW TO STYLE YOUR SCRAP LAYOUTS FOR INSTAGRAM WITH EVELYN PY

Style your Scrapbook Layout Cover by Evelynpy

Hey everyone this is Evelyn Pratiwi Yusuf, today I wanna share about how to style your scrapbook layouts like a pro so you can post it to your Instagram and get some love.

If you open your Instagram people always just post their layouts into square format, but sometimes people also love how you post your scrapbook layout in different way. I do it recently in my Instagram @geekgalz.

As your background you can choose white and clean background or wood grain. It depends on you and how your layouts will stand and perfectly match with the background.

Here some tips for you:

1.       Surround it by pretty little details.
If you have 12x12 or 8,x11 or 6x8 layouts you can just put them right in the middle as center of attention and surround it with pretty little details such as the ingredients of your layout. The pretty ephemeras, washi tapes, ink pad, pen, pencil, everything that you like.  You can put them randomly near your layout, you can spread them at the right and left of your layout and also top and bottom. But remember not to much because the spotlight is in to your layouts not the pretty little details.

2.       Peeking .

People loves to see some sneak peek! It makes them want to know more about your layout. So why don’t you make them curious about it. Just like previous tip, you can use pretty little details but the layout isn’t longer right in the middle. You can choose side, the right one or the left one. Which side that can makes your layout looks so pretty.

3.       Stacking it.

You can also show them how your mojo works for you that day through your instagram photos. Stack your layouts that you already make. You can stake more than two and put in in the middle, make it center of attention. Let people know that you are scrapbook master! No need style it with ephemeras around it, let your layouts pop up by it self.

So grab your iphone or android, prepare your layouts that you will post it, take some pics, edit it using snapseed or vscocam and post it to your instagram.

Sunday sketch with Lucia

Hi girls! Lucia here today to share the new Sunday sketch - and a page I created based on this lovely sketch.

11403118_10200479995318601_1526338968486095878_n

I created a page about a little kitten that I was taking care of in June. The sketch is awesome but I always like to change it a bit (especially the proportions so there's more white background and fits more my style :-) ) Here's my page!

little-darling_blog

I was working with the July 2015 Main Kit and added some white tissue paper, white thread and some sheets from a notebook.
I had this idea to use the blue textile piece to create the rays effect and am a little proud of it, haha.

The circle is simply drawn with a sharpie...

... added more layering, journaling, title (the color of the foam alpha thickers matches perfectly the blue textile piece), few embellishments (everything from the July Main kit) and the page is ready :-)

Delightful with Christin

Christin here today to share one of my layouts with the July main kit + Sprinkles kit.

Christin G Delightful CTK 01
For my background I started dropping different colors of mists and Aladine iZink Pigment Inks (in Citronella, Rose and Gold found in the CTK store) I chose yellow as my main color to go with the Citrus Pink Paislee paper in the kit.  These pigment inks are have very rich pigments and are excellent if you want big drops with lots of color.

I hope you can find the time to go through and find the gems in the CTK shop waiting for the next kit.

Process video with Lucia

Hi everyone! I hope you are all having a great summer!
Lucia here today to share with you my new process video. I filmed my creative proces while working on a 12x12 page for Citrus Twist using the main and sprinkles July 2015 kits and it's one of my recent favorites :-) I'm loving the grid design these past few .. ehm .. months, so here's one of my "grid inspired" pages, including LOTS of layering, too :-)
